Assignment
Choose one person that you admire and create a magazine cover of them.
For design inspiration, look a some examples of magazines that you want to pattern your cover after. You can use a existing magazine or create your own from scratch.
Requirements for your finished publication:
- There should be only one person on the cover
- Set all margins to .5 inches.
- Three or more article teasers. These are simply articles with titles that are attention-getting.
- Issue date and price conveniently displayed on the publication.
- Optional: other subdued graphics to enhance the layout of the cover.
- Barcode included in convenient location. (simply find and image of a fictitious one)
- I am looking for InDesign Skills, knowledge of design concepts, and your creative expressions.
Submission procedure
- Remember to consider: design concepts: alignment (symmery assymetry, hierarchy, color, value.)
- Document should be letter sized. 8.5 x 11 inches.
- Save as a pdf.
- email the pdf to: reinhardtart100@gmail.com
- We will do a trail version in class if you miss the class are still responsible for understanding the material which will be posted on the class website.
